Gary D. Clark

Gary D. Clark, 75, of  Fort Dodge, IA died Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home, 923 1st Avenue South – Fort Dodge, with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Historic Bruce Funeral Home, and continue one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place in North Lawn Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Gary was born January 24, 1947, in Humboldt, IA, the son of Edgar and Evelyn (Johnson) Clark.  He attended Fort Dodge Schools.  On February 1, 1965, Gary was united in marriage to Connie Mae Billings in Fort Dodge.  To this union five children were born.  Gary worked at Celotex for 41 years until his retirement in 2009.  Gary enjoyed fishing and working on cars.  He had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed being mischievous.

Gary is survived by 5 children: Rick (Celestia) Clark of Fort Dodge, Gary Clark of Manson, IA, Julie (Rob) Scott of Depauw, IN, Roger (Kim) Clark of Lake City, IA and Jerry (Ree) Clark of Manson; 3 sisters:  Sharilyn (Larry) Hoover of Dayton, IA, Becky Sams of Farnhamville, IA and Mary (Bob) Collmann of Pomeroy, IA; 1 brother:  Roger (Patsy) Clark of To Pano, LA; 1 sister-in-law:  Ardis (Joe) Lewis of Fort Dodge; 1 brother-in-law:  Gene Billings of Rockford, IL; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 2008; brother:  Eddie Clark; 2 sisters-in-law: Ann Nolta and Judy Ort; 1 brother-in-law: Jerry Billings; and a grandson:  Kyle Rodriguez.
