Frank C. Lewman
Frank C. Lewman, 90, of Moorland, died Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Dodge. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Frank was born August 8, 1917 in Charlestown, Indiana, spent his childhood in the area, later attending Indiana University and Purdue. He married Pauline Whannel in Laurens, Iowa in August 1941. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army AirCorps as a navigator/1st Lt. from 1942-1946. He returned to Iowa to farm, later graduated from Iowa State College with a B.A. degree in industrial education and taught at Central Webster High School 1959-1979.
Frank is survived by his wife Pauline, son Norman (Susan) of Sac City, daughter Mary Jean (Tom) Stork of Carroll; grandchildren Neil (Amy) Lewman, Shelley (Michael) Nevins, Rachel Stork; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Martha Jane Lowe. He was preceded in death by two brothers; son Terry, daughter-in-law Margy and two grandchildren, Cindy and Tammy Lewman.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
