Florence Julia Espinoza

Florence Julia Espinoza, 91, of Rockwell City, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Monday July 23, 2007 at her home.

Florence was born May 4, 1916 the daughter of John W. and E. Lily (Schultz) Leiss in Fort Dodge, IA.  In 1934 Florence was united in marriage to Bernard Espinoza the couple was later divorced.

Florence was a very dedicated person to both her family and to the Lutheran Hospital where she was a nurses aide for 25 years.  She loved her gardens and feeding the birds.  Florence was always there to help, her home was everyones safe haven and her door was always open.  She was an excellent seamstress who could work magic with the old treadle sewing machine.

Those thankful for having shared in Florences life include her children; Ramona Parks, Lucinda Johnson, Sela (Karsten) Bryhne, Virginia (Dennis) Porter, Neva (Brent D.) Chapman, Gloria Pugh, David (Jennifer) Espinoza, one sister; Mabel Rose, one brother; Norris (Lavonne) Leiss, two sisters in law; Donna Leiss, Charlotte Leiss, 36 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Espinoza was preceded in death by her parents, twin girls; Mary and Margaret, two sons; Gregory John and Roger Espinoza, one grandson; Michael Johnson, two brothers; Robert and Arlo Leiss, one sister; Frances Schneider and one son in law; Raymond Parks.
