Florence Guidry

Florence Mae Guidry, 96, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Monday May 22, 2006 at the Grandview Health Care Center, Dayton.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the North Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Evelyn Lewiston officiating.

Florence was born January 23, 1910 the daughter of Schyler and Mary (Erickson) Cheney in Burnside, IA.  Florence was united in marriage to Zenas Guidry in 1964 in Las Vegas, NV. 

Florence worked for Model Clothiers for many years as a seamstress.  During her time of relaxation she would often times read or even sew as a hobby.

Mrs. Guidry is survived by her son Robert V. and his wife Carol Felch of Greers Ferry, AK.  She also has 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

Mrs. Guidry was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister Gladys Schultz.
