Eva M. Paterson

Eva M. Paterson, 102, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, April 22, 2006 at Friendship Haven.

Funeral services will be held at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Marcia Rich C.L.P. officiating. A music prelude will begin at 1:20 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Visitation will be held today from 5-6 p.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Interment is private.

Mrs. Paterson was born in Fort Dodge to a well known pioneer family and lived in Fort Dodge her entire life. She attended Fort Dodge Public Schools and graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1922. She was united in marriage to John Amond on December 15, 1929. She would later marry Peter Paterson in Canton, Ohio in 1972. Both of Evas husbands have preceded her in death.

Eva was curator for the Fort Dodge Historical Museum for 15 years. Her time, talents and graciousness were given to the viewers of the different historical pieces. She knew the history of each article and kept records of the same. She was a member of numerous service organizations. Eva was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Dodge.

Those thankful for having shared in Evas life include many nieces and nephews and special friend, Lucy Moore.

Eva is the last of a family of three brothers and five sisters.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Dodge or the Presbyterian Church Camp in Okoboji, Iowa.
