Elaine Smith, 52, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2007 at the Northfield Church of Christ with Bishop Madi Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

Elaine was born October 9, 1954 the daughter of Willie Lee and Josephine (Kirsey) Smith in Fort Dodge, IA. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School.

Over the years Elaine has been employed with the following: Globe Union, the United States Post Office and currently with the Fort Dodge Labs.

According to her family Elaine was born to shop and was known to look through the store twice. She enjoyed listening to music, playing cards and having fun with her family and friends.

Those thankful for having shared in Elaine’s life include her parents; Willie and Josephine Smith, three children; Shelice (Kevin) Lockman, Seth Smith, Markita Bolden all of Fort Dodge, four sisters; Belinda (Tom) Smith-Clark of Fort Dodge, Betty (Jessie) Thedford of Cedar Rapids, IA, Cynthia Smith of St. Paul, MN, Phyllis Smith-Grady of Des Moines, IA, one brother; Bobby (Audrea) Smith of Mason City, six grandchildren; Devon and Davion Lockman, Kuvasia, Tamara, Christopher and Angel Smith, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her sister; Willie Jean Smith, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
