Dwain Eugene Tielbur 55 of Graettinger formerly of Lockport, Illinois and Spring Hill, Tennessee died Christmas day, December 25, 2014, at his home in Graettinger, Iowa. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 10:30, at the United Methodist Church in Graettinger with the Rev. Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery in Graettinger. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday, one hour prior to services.
Dwain Eugene Tielbur was born May 2, 1959 in Joliet, Illinois to Darwin and Darlene (Sloniker) Tielbur. He attended school at Taft in Lockport, IL and graduated in 1977. Shortly after graduating, he started working for General Motors in Chicago, IL. When the GM plant closed in Chicago, he transferred to the Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee where he retired after 30 years of employment with General Motors. He was married to Lou Grizzle and then divorced. He moved to Graettinger in September of 2014. Dwain was a member of the United Auto Workers. He enjoyed working on cars and collecting clocks.
He is survived by his father, Darwin Tielbur of Graettinger, two daughters Melissa Tielbur and Melissa Blackwell. Dwain is also survived by his brother Darrell Tielbur of Lockport, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his mother Darlene in 2002.
