DuWayne A. Cleveland, 45, of Fort Dodge, IA, and formerly of Adrian, MN, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 1, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, 28 N. 10th Street, with Pastor Annette Howard officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Mt. Calvery Cemetery in Livermore, IA, following the service.
DuWayne, the son of Daryl and Joyce (Herold) Cleveland was born at the Naval Hospital in Subic Bay, Philippines on March 28, 1974. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1993. He married Erika Stover on November 18, 1995, and they had two children Quinn and Kennedy. Over the years, he worked as a cabinet welder at Frigidaire in Webster City and held a variety of convenience store jobs until his health failed. His favorite college teams were the Florida State Seminoles and Iowa State Cyclones. He was a member of United Church of Christ in Alden, IA and attended First Baptist Church in Fort Dodge.
Left to cherish DuWaynes memory is his wife Erika, 2 children, Quinn and Kennedy Cleveland, special friend Marge Ayers of Fort Dodge and his dog Frank. He is also survived by his father Daryl and stepmother Donarae Cleveland of Odebolt, brother Jay Cleveland of Fort Walton Beach, FL and sister April Cleveland of Naples, FL and half brother Bradly Cleveland of Odebolt, IA. His nieces and nephews include Jasmine, Drake, Shelby and Maggie. He is also survived by Sue Larson, Jerry (Adella) Cleveland, Bob Herold and Tony Herold.
DuWayne was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Cleveland Jacobsen, two uncles, Allen and Donald Herold, an aunt Linda Everhart, grandparents Leo and Luella Herold and Lester and Maxine Cleveland.
