Douglas Grant Peterson

Douglas Grant Peterson, 71, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at his home.             Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.             Douglas was born October 19, 1936 the son of Edward O. and Ladania N. (Casto) Peterson in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Doug was united in marriage to Nancy Hutchinson.  The couple later divorced.  Doug was a route driver for many years for several different companies.              Doug was an outdoorsman enjoying such activities as fishing, camping and just taking leisurely drives.  He was a gadget guy, always taking things apart to see how they worked.  Doug also enjoyed collecting guns.             Those thankful for having shared in Dougs life include his children; Tammy Jo (Andrew) Fullerton of Boone, IA, Kelly Ann Peterson of Aurora, CO, two sisters; Gwendolyn (Jack) Rejsa of Plymouth, MN, Caroline (Bernard) Schwering of Farnhamville, IA, one brother; Clayton Peterson of New Ulm, MN, two brothers in law; James Wangler, Walter OConnor, two grandchildren; Jessica, Marcus, and several nieces and nephews.             Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Vivian Anderson Wangler, Charlene OConnor, a sister in law, Phyllis “Sally” Peterson and a brother in law, Duane Anderson.
