Dorrell S. Jackson

Dorrell S. Jackson, 51, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Thursday, January 2, 2020. A memorial service will be held in Kansas City, KS on January 25, 2020.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dorrell was born August 11, 1968, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Oliver Richardson and Gwendolyn Jackson. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City in 1986, and continued his education at Business College. In September of 2016, Dorrell moved to Fort Dodge with friends and family members. Dorrell loved fishing with his family. He also loved his job and friends at B & E Construction. He enjoyed hunting rabbits & squirrels and spending time with family and friends.

Dorrell is survived by his 2 children: Kyrell and Kyra Jackson-Richardson both of Fort Dodge, his father: Oliver Richardson (Janice) of Wynne, AR; siblings: Demetric Jackson of Kansas City, KS, Rotasha Richardson of Leesburg, FL, Satara (Richard) Aubrey of Little Rock, AR, Leeshan Richardson of Grand Rapids, MI, Lenita Richardson of Lawrence, KS and Latasha (Kevin) Ross of Jonesboro, AR. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Jackson in 2019; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
