Dorothy Agnes Grimm, 93, was born on the 17th day of April 1915 in Barnum, Iowa to the late William and Tena Krug.  She went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2008. Mrs. Grimm was preceded in death by her husbands Jake Wingerson and Harry Grimm; companion, Carver Davis, grandson, Ross Walsh, stepson, Glenn Grimm, and a sister, Irene Howard. Dorothy is survived by her son, Jerry Wingerson (Jeanette), daughter Jan Allen (Dennis), stepson, Arlo Grimm (Dorothy), grandchildren; Jody Uhlemeyer, Cindy Alvarez, Jessica Davis, Derek Allen, Michelle Barchak, David Grimm, Paul Grimm and 17 great grandchildren. Growing up, Dorothy graduated from Barnum High School in 1934.  She married Jake Wingerson in Gowrie, Iowa in 1936 and they famed near there for several years.  They moved to Rockwell City for a short time before moving to the Otho area in 1950.  The couple resided there until Jakes death in 1962.  Dorothy later married Harry Grimm in 1963 and the made their home in Fort Dodge, Iowa until his death in 1976.  She continued to live in Fort Dodge and worked at Bernels Hair Salon for a number of years.  She later began sewing drapes for Sears and Sues Draperies for several years.  Following retirement, Dorothy and Carver Davis, her companion, enjoyed many horse parades, family gatherings and numerous friends until his death in 1997.  Dorothy enjoyed St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church and the ladies in her circle.  She continued to visit many of those friends by phone with much enjoyment.  In September of 2003, Dorothy moved to Houston to live with her daughter, Jan and husband Dennis.  She spent time at the home of her son, Jerry and wife Jeanette in Oklahoma as well.  She loved to read her Fort Dodge newspaper, Today Magazine, working on her many scrapbooks and enjoying her many picture albums.  Throughout her short illness, she met her challenges with incredible strength and faith even in the darkest moments.  We will truly miss you Mom, but we know that you are in a better place with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008 prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Knierim, Iowa. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church for chapel furnishings, 400 South 13th Street, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
