Donald L. Kallansrud, 88 Winterset, IA formerly of Des Moines, IA died April 15, 2004 at the Madison County Hospital in Winterset, IA. His memorial graveside service will be Friday, May 14 at 10:30 A.M. at Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Bruce~Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Alzheimers in Donald’s name.

Donald worked for many years as a surgical technician. In his younger years Don enjoyed the art of making rose petal wine. He enjoyed collecting coins, doing needle point, and raising orchids. As an employee of Becker Florists Donald found his love for flowers and enjoyed working in his flower gardens from then on.

Donald was born to Eva M. (Carlson) and Carl N. Kallansrud on March 13, 1916 in Fort Dodge, IA. In April of 1920 he married Carlene Biedenfeld.

Donald is survived by his daughter, Barbara Kallansrud of Des Moines, son, Donald William Kallansrud of Concord, CA, 4 grandchildren, Kimberly Ruiz, Erik Bettencourt, Leslie Guerra, and Aramond Guerra, and 5 great grandchildren.

Mr. Kallansrud was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carlene in 1991, brothers and sisters.
