David Samuel Jordison

David Samuel Jordison, 86, died Friday night, August 22, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the Community of Christ Church in Coalville, Iowa at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home. 

David was born August 26, 1921 to Eleanor (Lumsden) and Almer Jordison of Fort Dodge.  He married Jeane Stewart of Manson September 2, 1945.  The couple farmed together on the family farm just north of Coalville, Iowa until 1986. Though Dave retired from farming in 1986, he continued to assist his son in farming until his recent health problems.  He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Coalville, Iowa.  

Dave is survived by his wife, Jeane; daughter Julie Brown (Keith) of Urbandale, Iowa; son, Lance (Melanie) of Fort Dodge; son-in-law, Randal Weaver of Kalispell, Montana; sister, Hazel Fitzner of Fort Dodge; niece, Kay Fitzner of Rockwell City; and nephew, David Fitzner of Fort Dodge.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Erma Fitzner; daughter, Vicki Weaver; and grandson, Samuel Weaver.
