David R Sonksen

David Robert Sonksen was born May 24, 1940 in Audubon, Iowa to Julius and Erma Lorraine (Jensen) Sonksen. He grew up in Audubon and attended schools there. He was united in marriage to Roberta Wiederstein on November 7, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa. David served in the United States Air Force from 1959 through 1962. He then attended the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

On December 14, 2016 Dr. David Robert Sonksen died at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Sonksen, his children; Dr. Lynette (Dale) Arens, Dr. Andrew (Julie) Sonksen and Janelle (Christopher) Greiner, his grandchildren; Luke Arens, Kelsey Arens, Samuel Sonksen, Jordan Greiner and Malia Greiner, and his great grandchild, Joshua Arens. He is also survived by his siblings; James Sonksen, Dennis Larsen and Jane Hughes.
