David Church

David L. Church 77 of Fort Dodge passed away at his home on July 2, 2015 after a brief recurrence of cancer. He leaves behind the love of his life of 51 years, Dottie, daughters; Laurie (Troy) Barringer, Sue (Vern) Powell, Brenda (Tony) Ayala and Marsha Hayes. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

Dave was born June 5, 1938 in Fort Dodge and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High. He served in the United States Army. Dave was united in marriage to Dortha Barnes on February 15, 1964 in Manhattan, Kansas. Dave worked for Iowa Beef Processors for 20 years and then Iowa Central Community College, where he retired from in 2002.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
