Danny Clifford Pigman

Funeral Services for Danny C. Pigman 67, formerly of Lehigh will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge with Rev. John Elkin officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4pm to 6pm also at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will be in the Blanchard Cemetery at Brushy Creek.

Danny Clifford Pigman was born November 22, 1948 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to John and Bonnie (Cutting) Pigman. Danny grew up in the Lehigh area and graduated from Central Webster High School in 1966. He served in the United States Army in Viet Nam where he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart Medals.. After the service he returned to the Lehigh area and worked for Webster County, doing maintenance and driving snow plow. He also served as deputy for the Lehigh Police. Danny enjoyed welding and riding motorcycles. He loved telling stories and stealing his nieces treats. Due to Danny's exposure to Agent Orange in Viet Nam, his health deteriorated. For the past several years, he has lived in VA facilities and most recently in Crest Ridge Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa, where he passed away on November 9, 2016.

Danny is survived by is siblings; Eileen (Danny) Richardson of Lehigh, Darrell (Sylvia) Pigman of Lehigh, Bonnie (Terry) Dillon of Garfield, Minnesota and Lorraine Peterson of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant brother and a nephew Joseph Richardson.
