Curtiss D. Anderson

Curtiss Delano Anderson, 72, of Fort Dodge, died Friday July 27, 2007 at the Greenleaf Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2007 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. Lyle Hansen officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Olaf Cemetery, Fort Dodge.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

Curtiss was born October 7, 1934 the son of Elmer and Willhemia (Schwirtz) Anderson in Fort Dodge, IA.  At the young age of 15 Curtiss left home and began a life long journey of hard work.  He loved farming and all that went along with it including the livestock.  In his younger days Curtiss enjoyed going dancing at the Bohemian Hall and traveling around the country.

Those thankful for having shared in Curtiss life include his caregiver for many years, Tammy Varland; two sisters, Arvada (Earl) Thompson, Ruth (Ernest) Schoenfisch; one brother, Maynard Anderson; brother in law, Raymond Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ardelle Anderson and Laverna Taylor.
