Constance Connie Mae George, 63, of Des Moines, died January 1, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Peters officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m. Wednesday. Connie was born August 19, 1945 the daughter of Melvin Chuck and Betty (Anderson) Jones in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She later graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High.  In 1965 she was united in marriage to Bill George in Fort Dodge.  The couple had two children and were later divorced. Connies two granddaughters were her pride and joy.  She looked forward to the time she could spend with them.  Connie enjoyed helping the other residence of her complex whenever they were in need.  She was currently the president of the housing association in which she was living.  Connie enjoyed listening to music for relaxation. Those thankful for having shared in Connies life are her two children; Kevin (Nancy) George of Ankeny, Iowa, Brian (Su) George of Bondurant, Iowa, father; Melvin Jones of Fort Dodge, Iowa, one sister; Sherry Tangle of California, Dennis (Carol) Jones of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Ronnie (Iris) Jones of Fort Dodge, Iowa, two granddaughters; Megan and Emily. Mrs. George was preceded in death by her mother Betty.
