Colleen H. Wiss

Colleen H. Wafful Wiss, age 86 of Kansas City, Kansas died October 29, 2019.  Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 9, 2023, at St. Olaf Cemetery in Fort Dodge.  Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

She leaves behind her husband Earl Wiss of the home, her son Christopher Wiss of New York, NY, her daughter Holly Snow of Kansas City, KS and her granddaughter Ashleigh Snow of Denver, CO.

Colleen grew up in Fort Dodge and after marriage to Earl moved to Kansas City. She raised her family including multiple dogs in the Muncie and Turner areas of Kansas City, KS. She volunteered at Turner public schools and Argentine Youth Services (AYS) before taking a paid administrative role at AYS in the late 80's. She enjoyed laughter, wit, conversation, old movies (TCM was a favorite), books, cooking and baking, garage sales, stylish clothes, and the family pets. She found idle delight as a keen observer of the human parade.
