Clara I. Piotter
Clara I. Piotter, 99, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center. According to Claras wishes, a graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at the West Bend Cemetery, West Bend, Iowa. Officiating will be the Rev. Alan Henderson of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Clara was born March 21, 1908 on the farm near Gowrie, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Emma (Pigusch) Piotter. In 1920 she moved with her family to the West Bend area. Following graduation from high school in 1926 she moved to Fort Dodge to attend Tobin Business College graduating in 1927. Clara was employed at several different offices in Fort Dodge. Clara was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marthas Circle and the Fort Dodge Womans Club. Clara is survived by a great niece; Susanne Randolph, great great niece Carla Cook and a great great great niece Kiryn Cook all of Murrieta, CA. Ms. Piotter was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; Lucy Halfpop, Agnes Piotter and Esther Piotter.
