Catherine Graham
Catherine “Katy” Graham, 84, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Catherine was born July 20, 1922 the daughter of Michael and Mary Quilty in Waterford, Ireland. She was one of 14 siblings. On May 11, 1944 Katy was united in marriage to James Graham in Redding, England. The couple later immigrated to the United States.
Katy was an excellent seamstress who operated Katy’s Alterations for 25 years. She had the gift of gab and knew no stranger. As Katy traveled she was known to make stops singing and performing. She took great pride in her family especially her grandchildren. Her greatest passion was dancing and enjoying life. Katy was also an avid Cubs and Bears fan. She was very devoted to her faith.
Catherine was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Gilmore City, IA, Corpus Christie Catholic Church, Fort Dodge, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Those thankful for having shared in Katy’s life include her children; Michael (Sandra) Graham, Jim (Janna) Graham, and Maureen Graham, seven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James in December of 1999.
