Carl Mannel

Carl John Mannel, 59, of Manson, died Thursday, September 9, 2004 in Houston, TX.

Carl was born December 7, 1944 the son of Carl and Rachael (Nelson) Mannel in Waterloo, IA. Following his graduation from high school Carl enlisted in the United States Navy.

In 1966 Carl was united in marriage to Ruby Murphy in Greenock, Scotland. The couple moved to the Manson area in 1979.

Carl was currently driving for Sitton Trucking.

Carl enjoyed watching television especially football and the history channel. He spent many hours behind the wheel listening to numerous talk shows and different types of music. Carl was always up for a good joke and enjoyed kidding around.

Those thankful for having shared in Carl’s life include his wife Ruby of Manson, mother, Rachael Farmer of Callender, two children, Nichole Mannel and Sean Mannel of Fort Dodge, one sister, Shirley (Neal) Stanek of Callender, Dennis Mannel of Montana, two nieces and four nephews.

Mr. Mannel was preceded in death by his father Carl Mannel.

A private family service was held.
