Brenda Lee Riley

Brenda Lee Riley, 54, of Dakota City, IA, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at her home. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge. 

Brenda was born January 3, 1970, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Donald Eugene Riley and Linda Lee (Stanley) Riley. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1988. She was united in marriage to Wayne Quillen Jr. Brenda had a love for crafting and wood burning. "Brenda the Builder" took immense pride in building things from scratch, a testament to her resourcefulness and expertise. Brenda enjoyed cooking and spending time with family & friends. She was especially fond of dining at Lomita's, where cherished memories were built over good food and laughter. 

Brenda is survived by 4 children: Sarah Riley of Gilmore City, IA, Ricki Riley of Fort Dodge, Megan Riley of Fort Dodge, and Terry Bass of Gilmore City; 5 grandchildren: Angelia Bass, Annalicia Bass, Alindia Bass, Awstin Riley and Chloe Bass; brother: Donald Riley Jr. and wife Dawn of Badger; and 2 nephews: Mikel Riley and Dylan Riley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son: Brandon Luke Riley.
