Bonnie M. Bass, 90, of Fort Dodge, IA and formerly of Otho, IA, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the Marian Home. A private funeral service will be held followed by interment at the Otho Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Bonnie was born June 22, 1930, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Emerson and Viola (Hurley) Clark. She was raised in Kalo and attended school in Otho. In 1947, she was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” L. Bass in Fort Dodge. The couple made their home in Otho. Bonnie was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and being a foster grandparent for many years. She was a former member of the Otho – Kalo Community Church.
Bonnie is survived by 4 sons: Kenneth Bass and wife Patrice of Fort Dodge, IA, Leonard Bass and wife Kathy of Joplin, MO, Mark Bass of Farnhamville, IA, Jason Bass of Fort Dodge; 2 daughters: Linda Palmer of Fort Dodge and Kathleen Marquart and husband Greg of Boone, IA; son-in-law: Mark Michalski of Fort Dodge; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and 1 brother: Rodney Clark of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her half siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1990; son: Clifford Bass; daughter: Debra Michalski; and son-in-law: Robert Palmer.
