A Gathering for family and friends of Beverly A. O'Connor 55 of Fort Dodge will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 4pm to 6pm at the Historic Bruce Funeral Home in Fort Dodge. She passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.
Beverly Ann O'Connor was born February 3, 1960 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Herman and Elida (Friest) Tapper. She grew up in the Wausau area and graduated from Merrill High School in 1978. She then attended a Community College for a short time. Beverly moved to Iowa and was employed at Hardee's in Humboldt. She later moved to Fort Dodge where she continued her career at Hardee's Restaurant becoming a shift manager. She also attended Iowa Central Community College and took nurses training and attained her LPN distinction. She was united in marriage to Galen O'Connor on July 28, 1996 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. For the past few years Beverly has been the caretaker for her mother. Her hobbies included gardening and flowers. She enjoyed animals, especially cats and reading Anne McCaffrey novels.
Beverly is survived by her husband Galen of Fort Dodge, her children; Rhiannon (Travis) Roberts and Ben Vrieze, grandchildren; Taylor McMannus, McKinsey Roberts, Tanner Roberts, and Bryce Roberts, and her mother Elida Tapper all of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her brother Michael (Diana) Tapper of Appleton, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother in infancy, and brother Jeff.
