Beulah Guenther
Beulah Guenther, 101, of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She enjoyed last Memorial Day weekend at Spirit Lake with her family. She lived in Fort Dodge most of her adult life. She was born in Freeborn, MN the daughter of August and Katrine (Wiuff) Holleschau on September 5, 1906. She graduated from Freeborn High School and attended Mankato State Teachers College. She married Cyril Guenther in 1928. Cyril died in 1966.
She was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she enjoyed being a part of the quilters. She worked at the Boston Store for many years. She enjoyed her family and they enjoyed her.
She is survived by two daughters; Audrey Ercolini of Sioux City, Donna Gutknecht of Fort Dodge, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Also, Nan Brown adopted Beulah as her mother when her own mother died several years ago. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband and twelve brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 9, at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Peters officiating. Interment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery. Lunch will immediately follow the committal service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to the Trinity United Methodist Church or Trinity Hospice.
