Bernice Thelma Eldridge
Bernice Thelma Eldridge, 86, of Fort Dodge, died Monday, August 1, 2005 at the USA Health Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 at the Riverside United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Berg officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Dodge Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
Bernice wa born January 29, 1919 the daughter of John and Rosetta (Paulson) Grall in Fort Dodge, IA. On November 25, 1937 Bernice was united in marriage to Eugene A. Eldridge in Fort Dodge.
Bernice loved the outdoors, working in her garden, canning her bountiful harvest, feeding the squirrels, and watching the birds. Bernice spent hours sewing and quilting and always looked forward to the next project. She loved children especially babies and cherished the time with her family.
Those thankful for having shared in Bernice’s life include her son; Keith, one brother; Carl (Beverly) Grall and one sister Betty (Fred) Heidick both of Fort Dodge, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, son Kenneth, infant daughter Carol, grandson, Kevin, two brothers, and one sister.
