Bernard I. Gross, 82 of Fort Dodge, died Sunday May25, 2008 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday May 29, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karen Berg officiating.  Interment will follow in the North Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home. Bernard I. Gross was born September 25, 1925 the son of Elmer and Ethel (Blake) Gross in Algona, Iowa.  On October 6, 1945 Bernard was united in marriage to Coletta Losee in the Methodist Church parsonage in Mason City, Iowa.  In 1950 the couple moved to Fort Dodge. Bernard worked for National Gypsum for many years as a kiln operator.  His free time was enjoyed with his family as he took great pride and joy in all of them.  He loved to joke and kid with everyone.  Bernard worked very hard in his yard and especially in his garden and flower beds. Those thankful for having shared in Bernards life include his children; Wesley Gross of Lorain, Ohio, Neil (Frankie) Gross of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Juanita (Roland) Johnson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Teresa Winkelman and her partner Sandy Thompson of Paw Paw, Michigan, four sisters; DeEtta Erickson, Blanch Crisp, twin sister, Bernice Jacobson, Naomi Roseke, 16 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren. Mr. Gross was preceded in death by his parents, wife Coletta, seven sisters, six brothers and a grandson; Brian Gross.
