Arthella E. Bennett, 87, of Fort Dodge died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Tompkins Memorial Health Center.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Rev. Roger Kurtenbach officiating.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery.

Arthella Burt was born on January 31, 1918 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Mahalley (Anderson) and Ernest Burt.  She attended Knoxville High School, earning her high school diploma.  In 1941 she was united in marriage to Gerald “Benny” Bennett in Missouri.  Gerald later preceded her in death in 1988.  She spent her working years taking care of her children and her home.  She especially enjoyed playing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Arthella is survived by her children Randy (Mary) Bennett of Fort Dodge, Gerald (Soly) Bennett of Lamore, California, Barb (Jim) Beeson of Erie, Illinois, Sharon (Dennis) Hennings of Fort Dodge and Cindy (Dan) Nieland of Fort Dodge.  She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and one granddaughter; Melinda Flowers.

Arrangements have been entrusted with the Bruce-Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
