April Hoerchler

April May (Martin) Hoerchler, 69, of Otho, Iowa died Tuesday June 7, 2022 after a lengthy illness at her home in Otho with her husband Paul by her side.

April was born April 25, 1953 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Martin and Pearl (Scott) Martin of Otho, Iowa. She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1971.

She had a huge love for animals, walks in nature, a huge love of reading books, watching movies, working on jigsaw puzzles and was an avid crocheter. She was a wonderful cook. She had a bubbly personality, her smile could light up a room and her laughter was contagious. She will be truly missed.

April is survived by her husband of 39 years Paul Hoerchler, her children Jeana (Jacob) Keller of Jefferson, Iowa, Richard (Larissa) Davis of Burleson, Texas, Sherri (Thomas) Paul of Dayton, Iowa. Grandchildren Christian Davis of Ames, Iowa, Quinten Jaques of Killeen,Texas, Darian Jaques of Des Moines, Iowa, Haven Keller of Jefferson, Iowa, Liam Davis of Burleson, Texas, Whitney Martenson of Pilot Mound, Iowa, JD. Moore of Webster City, Iowa and Gabriel Moore of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Great Grandchild Vivian Osborn of Des Moines. Sister Carla (Larry) Vogel of Missouri.

April was preceded in death by her Father Carl Martin, Mother Pearl (Scott) Martin, Sisters Carol Martin and Gail Davis.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Otho Community Center.  Memorials may be directed to the family.
